Quantum Sails has announced a new leadership structure aimed at fostering growth, enhancing internal collaboration, and delivering greater support to its customers and sales team.
The company says the new structure simplifies its regional oversight and expands resources across its US and global network, giving team members more opportunities to collaborate and excel.
“We’re empowering our team to learn from some of our most experienced sales professionals and are committed to giving these individuals the tools and support they need to succeed,” said Andrew Scott, Quantum Sails COO.
“Most importantly, these new roles give everyone greater access to one another — sharing knowledge, resources, and support across the entire Quantum network.”
Jason Currie has been appointed as US sales manager having joined Quantum in 1997.

In his new role, Jason will lead the US sales team with direct support from two new regional directors, focusing on growing resources and simplifying structure by dividing oversight into East and West regions.
“It’s exciting,” Jason said. “We all bring decades of experience to the table. We’re still selling sails, not just managing. We’re working together to help our team grow and succeed.”
Jeff Thorpe is the new director of Western US sales and has been a top-performing Quantum salesperson for much of the past decade since he joined the company in 1997.
Based in San Fransisco, he will lead Quantum’s sales efforts west of the Mississippi.
Jeff is a veteran of offshore racing, and has taken part in multiple Transpac and Pacific Cup races.
Growth
Kris Werner has been appointed as director of Eastern US sales. He joined Quantum with his Rochester, NY Loft, and has led the company’s growth in the Great Lakes region after being appointed Great Lakes regional manager in 2022.
Scott Nixon is the new One Design director and works out of Quantum’s Annapolis Loft. In his expanded role he will oversee all One Design classes supported by Quantum globally.
He is the former Offshore One Design director, and has led many Quantum teams to championships and brings decades of coaching and racing experience to the role.
Carles Rodriguez is the new Quantum regional manager for Spain. He has worked out of Quantum’s Barcelona loft, and has worked across sailmaking, design, and customer service, with racing achievements including wins at the Copa del Rey, Maxi Yacht Cup, and Swan Cup.
Relationship
“For our sales team, it’s much more than processing orders and delivering a product — it’s about building the kind of relationship that ensures the customer gets not just the right product, but the support they need to have the experience they’re looking for,” said Jason.
“That takes time and patience. We have the right people in place, and we’re always evolving to give our team the support they need to show up for our customers in meaningful ways.
“This is about internal growth first, then overall growth — laying a strong foundation to keep moving forward, together.”
