French manufacturer TEMO’s electric power outboards have been certified Origine France Garantie (OFG)
The OFG label is issued by an independent certification body and is for the TEMO·450 and TEMO·1000 electric power outboards.
The certification guarantees the brand’s products meet the criteria of over 50% of the cost price of TEMO·450, TEMO·450 carbon and TEMO·1000 (77%) outboards are of French origin.
In addition, the certificate requires the products to acquire their essential characteristics during manufacture in France.
Assembly of the TEMO·450 and TEMO·450 carbon versions is carried out by subcontractor Sercel in Carquefou, while the TEMO·1000 engines are assembled at TEMO’s head office in Vannes.

“Obtaining this label reaffirms our CSR approach and testifies to our commitment to promoting the region, employment and the manufacture of high value-added products. ”
The certification follows on from the launch of TEMO’s new SEASIDE range of three POD drives – 450W, 1000W and 3000W – and electric propulsion systems at METSTRADE 2024.
The systems include removable batteries, and controls to propel boats from 500kg up to 3 tonnes.
The new range has been designed to be easy to install and maintain, and modular to adapt to different types of boat.
The drives are delivered in a PODS architecture and there are two control displays – with or without a screen console and remote control.
The modular multi-battery system is made up of cassettes installed in a rack, with each cassette able to be removed and charged independently.
