The new 5S Energy Station from ExploMar is a renewable energy fast-charging system.
The Station follows on from ExploMar’s high-performance electric outboard system development and combines photovoltaic technology, energy storage, and fast-charging stations to provide independent charging solutions for electric boats.
The new system is suitable for existing docks, islands, and remote waterways.
The 5S system has been designed to address challenges such as inadequate power supply, weak grid infrastructure, high electricity costs, and underdeveloped power networks.
The system is equipped with a 300kW solar system and can generate up to 1500kWh of photovoltaic energy daily.

The system can charge up to 35 boats equipped with WAVE 70 electric outboard motors and HEDB 40 batteries, or six boats with WAVE 300 electric outboard motors and HEDB 240 batteries in one day.
The 5S Energy Solution – representing Solar, Self-supply, Storage, Scale and Sales – integrates with ExploMar’s high energy density batteries, allowing for rapid charging.
The modular and transportable design has been developed for easy deployment and scalability of electric fleets, while providing multi-layer protection for reliable performance in harsh environments.
Long-lasting operation
Energy can be stored to ensure reserves are available during low-sunlight periods and surplus energy can be sold back to the grid.
Additionally, the system features CX corrosion resistance and an IP55-rated cooling system for long-lasting operation.
