MB92 La Ciotat takes on Golfe-Juan shipyard

Superyacht refit organisation MB92 La Ciotat, has taken over operations at the Golfe-Juan shipyard in the South of France.

The new facility spans 9,000sqm and is capable of servicing yachts up to 45 metres in length.

It marks a significant strategic step for MB92 Group in expanding its presence in key yachting hubs around the world.

MB92 La Ciotat is working with the concession holder D-Marin, who has entrusted the group with operating the site together as well as the shipyard team who will remain.

Preparations will now be made for the transition to the shipyard’s role within MB92’s growing operations.

At Golfe-Juan, our goal is to deliver the same high level of quality and attention to detail that MB92 is known for throughout the Group.

This will involve upgrading health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, alongside investments in modernising the shipyard to align its operations with the group’s ESG commitments.

These include water treatment, waste management, and energy efficiency with the aim of transforming the facility into an environmentally friendly and innovative operation that meets the needs of the yachting industry and the expectations of the local community.

“At Golfe-Juan, our goal is to deliver the same high level of quality and attention to detail that MB92 is known for throughout the Group, benefiting from our extensive experience in servicing yachts in the under 50-metre segment,” said MB92 La Ciotat MD Rob Papworth.

“We believe Golfe-Juan will quickly become a dynamic and attractive site for both regular clients and newcomers by providing a personalised, flexible boutique experience, as we do at our 300t Origins facility in La Ciotat.”

He added: “Through collaboration with local subcontractors and MB92 Group’s extensive network of partners, we will ensure that each refit adds real value, positioning Golfe-Juan as a key destination for superyacht refit services in the Mediterranean, while furthering our commitment to sustainable practices.”
