Tim Wiles has been appointed CEO of Australian boat insurer Club Marine.
Tim joined Club Marine 17 years’ ago and has held a diverse range of strategic leadership roles.
He has served as interim CEO since November 2023.
Prior to that, he was the company’s chief operating officer and 2IC
His experience in senior management covers underwriting, member services, technical, contact centre operations, claims and product, contributing to numerous projects across the enterprise.
“Tim’s unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional service to our customers and partners, along with his commitment to nurturing and developing our talented team, gives me such confidence that Tim is the right person to lead the business going forward,” said Jenita Wijaya, general manager, agencies (acting), Allianz Australia Insurance.
“His passion for excellence and leadership skills make him the perfect fit for the role, as we transform and grow the Club Marine business.”
Before joining Club Marine in 2007 as a junior underwriter, Tim worked in the boating industry in Sydney and remains an avid boating enthusiast.
“It has been a privilege to work in the marine industry my whole career, enabling me to combine my love of the water and boating with my job,” he said.
“Serving as acting CEO for the past six months has been a great experience and I’m looking forward to continuing growing the company and building on our standing as Australia’s largest recreational boat insurance provider.”
