Durabrite and Perko collaborate on new LED lighting range

Marine hardware and lighting manufacturer Perko is to collaborate with lighting solutions company DuraBrite, to bring advanced LED technology to a wider range of recreational and commercial boats.

The companies say the alliance will deliver products that offer performance, safety, and reliability.

A series of new and upgraded Perko lighting products will be developed using DuraBrite’s patented technologies, such as advanced thermal management systems, proprietary energy efficiency circuitry, and highly engineered optics control.

The new products will be suitable for commercial workboats, recreational boatbuilders, vessel fleets, and shipyards.

“These customers will have access to the most advanced LED high performance lighting available in the marine marketplace,” said Perko’s vice president of sales and marketing, Michael DeLillo.

“Our current plans call for offering our new Lightship Series which will include standalone assemblies, as well as high output LED retrofit kits to upgrade select models of existing Perko searchlights, and Perko automated searchlight bases, already in service.”

CJ Au, co-founder and CEO, DuraBrite, added: “We always see ourselves as a market disruptor.

“This strategic alliance is a testament and recognition to our innovative product design approach and relentless pursuit of excellence.”

He added: “Together, with our shared visions aiming at maximising safety, efficiency, and user experience, we will deliver incredible value to our customers, reinforcing our role as pioneers in the marine industry.”

Perko is based in Miami, Florida and manufactures its products in the States.

Products include LED navigation lights, fuel fills, emissions components, battery switches, marine hardware, and searchlights.

DuraBrite is based on Long Island, New York. The company is a spin-off from Sensitron Semiconductor, which specialises in power electronics used in the space, aerospace, and defence industries.
