Jarno Berkhof has been appointed CEO for the Mercator Marine Group (MMG), European supplier of technical parts and accessories for the recreational boating sector.
He joins MMG from Dutch marine wholesaler Lankhorst Taselaar BV, where he served as CEO.
“Jarno Berkhof brings with him extensive experience and a strong track record of success within the recreational marine market,” said a company spokesperson. “His strategic vision and proven leadership and commercial skills make him the perfect choice to lead Mercator Marine Group into our next growth phase.”
Following acquisitions in recent years, MMG now consists of four marine companies in the Netherlands and Germany that supply products for the recreational marine industry.
The company was founded in 2023.
Formerly known as Allpa Marine Equipment, the group aims to become the most prominent European supplier in the recreational marine field. It markets 65,000 products from top brands and technical private-label products.
The four companies are: Allpa Marine Equipment, founded in 1972, a Dutch-German wholesaler of technical marine products.
Combi Noord, a technical wholesaler with a fast-growing client base throughout the Netherlands.
Technautic, which specialises in technical-nautical products.
Allpa GmbH (Technik Fürs Boot) is based in Germany and is a distributor for several marine brands.
