The 66th Genoa International Boat Show will bring together more than 1,000 boats, 215 new models and exhibitors from 45 countries from 1–6 October 2026.
Italy’s yachting industry records annual turnover of €8.6bn, generates more than €13bn in added value and employs nearly 170,000 people. About 90% of production is sold internationally.
Organiser Confindustria Nautica said the in-water display is 4% larger than in 2025. The average size of the three largest boats in each segment has increased by 14.1%, while the number of multihulls is up 28%.
“The expansion of the in-water display area, the increase in the size of the boats on display and the evolution of the various segments reflect a sector that is changing and an event capable of changing alongside it,” said Piero Formenti, president of Confindustria Nautica.
A new Living Made in Italy area on Quay H, supported by the Italian Trade Agency, will focus on yachts over 24 metres and include vessels in the 35–50-metre range. The display will link yacht construction with engineering, interiors and Italian industrial design.
International visitor programme
The Italian Trade Agency has doubled its commitment to the international visitor programme, with buyer numbers expected to rise from 70 to 180, with delegates and journalists attending from 35 countries.
On 1 and 2 October, TechTrade Days will provide a dedicated business-to-business format for more than 400 equipment, accessories and components brands, connecting suppliers with shipyards, designers, technical teams and procurement managers.
FORUM26 will cover artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainability, regulation, nautical tourism, training and careers. The programme includes the World Yachting Sustainability Forum and European Sustainable Boating Roundtable.
The new Blue Arena in the Palasport Pavilion will focus on introductory boating, start-ups, training, careers and sailing. The seventh Design Innovation Award will recognise projects combining design, function, innovation and sustainability, with winners announced on 2 October.
The show takes place from 1 – 6 October 2026.
