British Marine is run the 2027 Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS) over eight days, a reduction from the current ten days.
The decision has been taken following after feedback from exhibitors, with Fairline, Princess Yachts and Sunseeker already confirming their attendance.
The 2027 show will remain at Southampton’s Mayflower Park which has been secured for the next three years.
British Marine says the new Saturday-to-Saturday schedule will retain three weekend trading days but concentrate visitor activity and commercial opportunities.
The show organiser says the decision builds on the 2026 event, where exhibitors reported early engagement and sales, and provides a basis for longer-term planning and investment.
Early commitment
“Our new eight-day format will retain the breadth and quality for which the Southampton International Boat Show is known,” said Earle Stanner, chief executive of British Marine.
He added that the UK’s three largest yacht builders’ early commitment and the Mayflower Park agreement gave the organisation ‘confidence to invest, innovate and continue developing’ the show.
Fairline chief executive Oliver Southwell said the company had recorded strong footfall at its new pontoon location in 2026.
“We’re already looking ahead to 2027, when we’ll bring a new British debut to the Fairline line-up, and the focused eight-day format is a sensible step forward,” he said.
Princess Yachts chief executive Will Green described the show as important to both the company and the wider UK marine industry.
“We’re pleased to confirm our commitment for 2027 and look forward to working with British Marine as they continue to develop the Show for the future,” he said.
And Sunseeker International’s chief executive Scott Millar added that supporting the home market mattered to the south coast brand and meant ‘backing an industry that continues to innovate, evolve and inspire’.
The three-year venue agreement keeps the event at its established waterfront site and gives exhibitors greater certainty over future participation.
SIBS 2027 will take place from Saturday 18 to Saturday 25 September.
