Correct Craft has acquired Fluid Motion, the parent company of Ranger Tugs, Cutwater Boats, and Solara Boats.
Fluid Motion will continue to operate, retaining its own brands and team members, and will remain headquartered in Monroe, Washington.
The company dates back to 1958 when the Ranger Fiberglass Boat Company was founded in Kent, Washington in 1958.
The company was acquired by John, Jennifer and David Livingston in 1998 who built it into Ranger Tugs, introducing the R-25 tugboat in 2006.
In 2011, the company launched Cutwater Boats and added Solara Boats in 2022.
All the craft are currently designed, engineered, and built in-house across multiple facilities in Washington State.
Extended cruising
Ranger Tugs builds cruisers from 23 to 43 feet, offered with diesel inboard or petrol outboard engines and known for their tugboat-inspired styling built for extended cruising.
Cutwater Boats builds cruisers from 24 to 32 feet designed for sport-boat performance with comfortable overnight accommodation.
Solara Boats offers trailerable sport, cruising, and fishing models for day boating, fishing, and watersports.
