The UK’s Hamble Yacht Services (HYS) has been acquired by Premier Marinas for an undisclosed amount.
The deal for the Hampshire-based marina on the River Hamble was completed with the support of Gunjal Patel, M&A partner at financial and real estate advisory group BTG.
The acquisition expands Premier Marinas’ South Coast portfolio which covers the area from Falmouth to Eastbourne with several facilities located in and around the Solent area.
HYS was established almost 40 years ago and has been under its current ownership since 2015.
During this time significant investments have been made to enhance services which include yard and marine services, marina berthing, storage ashore, drysail, drystack, boat lifting and launch facilities.

“Having steered HYS for a number of years, alongside an exceptionally capable team, we believe this was the right time to pass the business on to new ownership,” said Tim Yetman, managing director at Hamble Yacht Services.
“We have been very considered in selecting the right partner for HYS and Premier Marinas clearly understands the high-quality service and customer experience that our clients have come to expect.”
He added: “For the tenants operating from the marina, this transaction provides continuity while also creating the potential to further enhance the quality of service delivered across the site.”

Premier Marinas was established in 1994.
