DEKit, provider of customisable marine decking solutions has relocated its Charleston, US, operations to a larger, centrally located facility.
The company has also expanded its footprint into South Florida with the launch of DEKit South and the opening of a Florida facility.
The investments will significantly increase production capacity – the expanded Charleston facility has increased capacity by nearly fivefold.
DEKit’s new Florida facility was launched in partnership with Next Level Customs.
“Our team brings over 40 years of combined industry experience, built on a commitment to quality products and exceptional service,” said chief executive officer of Next Level Customs, Steven Paul.
“Partnering with DEKit was a natural fit, given their leadership in innovation and high-quality decking materials.
“The launch of Evercor in 2024 was a game changer we observed closely while our previous partner failed to evolve.
“Now, we’re excited to help bring E-DEK PRO to market and serve Florida from a world-class South Florida facility.”
Inventory capacity
The expansions are set to enable DEKit to increase throughput, reduce lead times, expand inventory capacity and further optimise its supply chain.
DEKit has also expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of E-Deck Pro.
DEKit first launched Evercor, a proprietary natural cork decking engineered to be the particularly durable, in 2024.
The company’s latest product features a hybrid construction manufactured using polyurethane resin with PE/EVA foam for durability and comfort, combining the appearance and toughness of synthetic teak with the cushioning benefits of foam.
“We never want to stand still as a company,” said chief operation officer, Jeff Brauser.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve, innovate and offer something different and E-DEK PRO is a huge step forward for us and for marine flooring as a whole.”
