German shipyard YYachts has appointed Gregor Bredenbeck to the role of head of sales and international expansion, effective June 1 2026.
His appointment comes as YYachts celebrates its tenth anniversary.
In his new role as head of sales, Gregor will take responsibility for worldwide sales and international expansion, overseeing the growth of these operations for the shipyard.
He will also further develop its brokerage and charter divisions.
Gregor brings decades of experience to the role – he began building racing yachts in 1990, later moving into the sales of premium yachts, spending many years working with international clients.
Global sales activities
“Gregor and I have successfully completed numerous projects together over the years.
“I have always admired the professionalism he demonstrated in every role he held,” said YYachts founder Michael Schmidt.
“With Gregor onboard, we are entering a new chapter in the development of our global sales activities.”
Gregor added: “I felt it was time for a new challenge in my professional career and I did not have to think twice when YYachts approached me.
