Panel discussions included an overview of the research and development activities of the world’s largest producer of megayachts, organised by the R&D Department of Azimut|Benetti Group.
A panel organised by RINA titled The Frontiers of Decarbonisation for Yachting, offered an opportunity to discuss the latest regulatory developments with industry experts, sharing experiences and perspectives on the topic.
New materials and construction techniques
And another panel, also organised by RINA featured contributions from RINA, Ferretti Group, Sanlorenzo Yacht, and Foiling Organization on the subject of foiling.
Other panels included discussions on additive manufacturing in the marine industry focusing on new materials and construction techniques for boats and yachts, and on the application, maintenance and sustainability of marine surface treatments for hulls and components.
A discussion on the regeneration of carbon fibre composites focused on FIB3R, Herambiente–Hera Group’s industrial-scale carbon fibre composite regeneration plant, the first facility in Europe capable of regenerating carbon fibre on a large scale in order to recover and reuse composite materials from yachts and boats.
Marketing and the media were also discussed alongiside the topic of responsible interiors.
