Slam technical clothing company has appointed Alessandro Locatelli as its new chief executive officer.
Former CEO Enrico Chieffi has been confirmed as chairman and will oversee the development of MSC Cruises’ sailing and maritime partnership activities.
The appointments follow on from Slam’s acquisition by MSC Cruises in October 2025, with the company continuing to strengthen its leadership and invest in the Genoa-founded brand, with the aim of reinforcing its position in the sailing, yachting and technical sportswear sectors.
The strategic direction calls for Slam to continue developing its traditional activities, while also creating a new professional division dedicated to the business-to-business sector. This will include the production of uniforms and apparel for MSC Group companies.
We are actively committed to the company’s development.

“We are pleased and proud to have acquired Slam, a global icon of Italian sporting excellence, and we are actively committed to the company’s development,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of the Cruise Division of MSC Group
“The appointment of Alessandro Locatelli as the new chief executive officer, whom I wish every success in his new role, and the confirmation of Enrico Chieffi as chairman, are integral parts of this growth path.”
