Tectrax appoints European manufacturer

Tectrax has partnered with Vanclaes as the exclusive European manufacturer for the electric amphibious Boat-Launcher.

Vanclaes will manufacture bespoke chassis frames engineered to integrate the modular Tectrax wheel units.

The collaboration will introduce the 100% electric, tow-vehicle-free launching solution engineered for the European maritime sector.

The Boat-Launcher by Tectrax uses amphibious wheel technology to transform a standard boat trailer into a self-propelled, remote-controlled vehicle.

The product integrates high-torque, 48V electric drive units in the chassis, allowing boaters to launch and retrieve vessels without the need for a vehicle.

The global response to the Boat-Launcher has been significant.

“The global response to the Boat-Launcher has been significant,” explained James Morton, CEO of Tectrax.

“Over the past few months, we have seen a constant stream of enquiries from across Europe as people discover our technology through our digital channels.

“It is clear there is a genuine appetite for smarter, electric launching solutions.”

He added: “By partnering with Vanclaes, we are combining our high-performance electric drive systems with the most sophisticated trailer chassis in Europe to meet this demand with a locally manufactured product.”

Vanclaes Trailers is based in Alphen aan den Rijn, Western Netherlands.

Tectrax is based in Auckland, New Zealand.
