De Wave Group acquires DL Services

De Wave Group has strengthened its catering department with the acquisition of DL Services which specialises in marine galley design and the supply of technical components and onboard spare parts.

DL Services, headquartered in France, has offices in Nantes and Miami, also provides equipment mapping and library of technical data for predictive maintenance services for catering equipment.

The company had revenues reaching €11 million in 2025.

The current management team will remain, with Daniel Laine and Mathilde Laine heading the French division, and Anaïs Habbar, leading the US division.

This transaction also allows us to establish direct relationships with a broad network of suppliers and to strengthen our presence across the entire production value chain.

The transaction was carried out with the support of SIMEST, part of the Italian finance institution CDP Group, through the establishment of a special purpose organisation – 52% owned by De Wave and 48% by SIMEST – that was set up for the acquisition.

SIMEST’s total investment was €3 million in the form of shareholder financing and a capital increase.

“With the acquisition of DL Services, we internalise two strategic areas of expertise: catering area design, including concept development, and library of technical data for maintenance of onboard kitchen equipment, which are now essential to ensuring complete and reliable services for all our partners,” said Riccardo Pompili, CEO of De Wave Group.

“This transaction also allows us to establish direct relationships with a broad network of suppliers and to strengthen our presence across the entire production value chain.”

Significant growth opportunity

He continued: “This is not merely a matter of scale, but a value-driven investment that consolidates our leadership and prepares us to face future challenges with an even more distinctive and integrated industrial profile.”

Daniel Laine, CEO of DL Services French Division, added: “The integration of DL Services into a leading group such as De Wave represents a significant growth opportunity.

“The complementarity of our expertise and the Group’s global presence will allow us to further enhance our know-how and accelerate expansion in international markets.

“This integration opens the door to meaningful operational and technological synergies, enabling us to address new challenges with a stronger structure while maintaining strategic and managerial continuity.”

De Wave Group is a global contractor headquartered in Genoa carrying out cruise and yacht shipbuilding.
