Yanmar Marine International (YMI) has appointed Knut Bøvre as general manager for the Nordic region, to lead the company’s development and growth across Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
Bøvre will oversee regional strategy, commercial development, operational performance, and aftersales.
“Yanmar already holds a strong position in the Nordic markets, and the potential for further growth is considerable,” said Bøvre.

Bøvre joins YMI with experience from both the marine and machinery sector.
He previously served as sales and marketing manager at Frydenbø Industri, focusing primarily on medium-speed marine engines, while also gaining exposure to high-speed solutions, and has several years of experience with Pon Equipment.
“Knut’s combination of technical insight, commercial experience, and regional understanding makes him uniquely equipped to lead our strategy in the Nordics,” said Floris Lettinga, director of sales and marketing at YMI.
