Northstar has ended its distribution partnership with Nautical Ventures and established a new US subsidiary, Northstar USA, headquartered in North Carolina.
The RIB manufacturer says the move positions the company to better support its dealers, streamline logistics, and reinforce the brand’s long-term commitment to the US market.
The new Northstar USA will be headed by CEO Boyd Tomkies who takes on the role with 17 years’ experience working in the inflatable boat sector.
“Boyd understands the needs of American boaters and the realities dealers face every day,” explained Cengiz Arsay, president of Northstar.

“His operational strength and customer-first approach make him the ideal captain for Northstar’s US expansion.”
Northstar USA has already secured several new dealers across key regions with further discussions spanning four segments – small RIBs under 6 metres, mid-size RIBs from 6-10 metres, full-range dealerships and performance RIBs.
Northstar was founded in 2002, and is a high-volume RIB manufacturer based in Izmir, Turkey, producing recreational and professional craft out of three production facilities.
The manufacturer collaborates with naval architect Adam Younger, who is known for his advanced tapered stepped hull designs.
