Mark Harrison, technical service manager for the Marine Diesel Division at Barrus, has been presented with a Yanmar Marine International (YMI) Service Award.
The awards were launched in 2019 to acknowledge and reward ‘Service Excellence’ among service staff working in Yanmar Group companies, distributors, and dealers worldwide.
Mark has worked in the Marine Diesel Division, responsible for Yanmar marine engines for six years. His role encompasses managing technical enquiries, warranties, projects, and sea trials, supporting the divisional workshop and the network of more than 70 Yanmar dealers across the UK.
He also delivers service and technical training to dealers’ commercial customers and boat builders.
“This award is truly an honour,” he said. “I pride myself in doing as much as possible to support our customers. They say sales teams sell the first engine and great aftersales sell the second.”

Mark will be presented with the Yanmar Marine Service Award during a ceremony at Yanmar’s headquarters in Osaka, Japan, as part of a four-day visit in March.
