TISG inaugurates new steelworks unit

The Italian Sea Group has cut the ribbon at its new interior steelworks business unit.

The unit, at the Group’s headquarters in Marina di Carrara will carry out a range of works from stylistic and executive design to delicate production processes.

The unit will be involved in all the construction of the Group’s new yachts, as well as supporting the activities of Celi interior carpentry and all refit activities.

Following an initial start-up phase, the business will extend its services to additional players in line with the Group’s strategy.

The production site of the new business unit covers an area of approximately 2,000sqm and is equipped with the latest digitally controlled equipment, with all the systems complying with the latest safety regulations.

“This important project, which follows the acquisition of Celi 1920, guarantees further growth in know-how in line with the strategy which has aimed for a decade now at internalising the most delicate activities of the production chain,” said Giovanni Costantino, founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group.

“This has enabled the Group to achieve very high levels of quantity while meeting delivery deadlines to the delight and enthusiasm of its owners.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place in with the Group president, Simona Del Re, COO Eng. Marco Figara, the management team, employees and workers.
