Nautex International under new ownership

French distributor Nautex International has been acquired by Martin Lambot, owner of Tecmar.

Nautex, based in La Rochelle, France, was founded more than 15 years ago by Florian Foglietti and distributes a range of marine equipment, specialising in technical, top-of-the-range products for yachts.

Its flagship products include Carbonautica composite steering wheels, composite gangways, Forespar spinnaker pole tips, Mainfurl furling booms, Tides Marine mainsail tracks, ATN spinnaker socks and Ubi Maior deck fittings.

I’m delighted to be able to share in its history and promote high-quality technical products for sailing.

“Nautex is a company well known to demanding sailors,” said Martin. “As an enthusiast myself, I’m delighted to be able to share in its history and promote high-quality technical products for sailing.

“I’d like to thank Florian Foglietti for the work he has done and the confidence he has shown in allowing me to take over this fine company.”

Tecmar and Nautex are set to remain independent and as two distinct entities, each operating in specific markets.

Anthony Steinberg, who joined Nautex recently will remain as the company’s sales manager.

Tecmar’s new site in Sainte-Soulle, with its 240m² shipping area, 1,250m² warehouse and a 300m² assembly area, will be used to strengthen Nautex’s logistics organisation.
