CNV Srl has finalised the acquisition of the Cantiere Navale Vittoria shipyard for 8.2 million euros.
The shipyard, based in Rovigo, Venice, and founded in 1927, specialised in the design and construction of superyachts, military, paramilitary work, commercial and transport vessels.
Approval for a restructuring plan has been obtained by the Court of Rovigo with the new ownership retaining the jobs of the 35 current workers.
“With the completion of the purchase, we can finally start working on an industrial development plan,” said Roberto Cavazzana who heads the new ownership.
“We intend to give continuity to what was the activity of designing and building boats of the Vittoria Shipyard, focusing on innovation and high-quality standards.”
Synergies and collaborations
And he said that from the start CNV will work to create synergies and collaborations with foreign players able to invest in the development plan and contribute to the growth of value of the business.
“I would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of this operation and the representatives of the regional and national institutions who worked at all levels for the rescue and who will find in us an interlocutor attentive to the needs of the territory and the community that hosts us,” added Roberto.
Roberto Cavazzana oversees Het Network, a consortium of specialised companies and studios operating in the fields of engineering, architecture, and environmental and territorial management.
The acquisition process began last summer with CNV winning the shipyard at auction.
Cantiere Navale Vittoria extends over 22,000sqm.
The search for an investor had been ongoing for several months with the company previously on the brink of insolvency.
