German Naval Yards (GNY), Swisship Yacht Projects and Pascoli International have collaborated on a new 93-metre superyacht concept ‘KOA’ aimed at the next generation of large-superyacht owners.
The vessel has a beam of 14.6 metres, a draft of 4 metres and an internal volume of approximately 3,500 GT, and balances modern aesthetics, advanced hybrid propulsion with onboard spaces.
The partnership draws on GNY’s experience in building some of the world’s most technically ambitious yachts, including its role in the construction of the Sailing Yacht A and the shipyard’s current 114-metre build, Project ELF.
“This project reflects the evolution of our shipyard,” explained Rino Brugge, chief executive officer, German Naval Yards.
“After the technical achievements of Sailing Yacht A and now the construction of our 114-metre Project ELF, we are excited to present a concept that demonstrates what GNY can deliver for the next generation of superyacht owners.”

The exterior design features a clean, architectural profile with straight window lines, flush glass installation and floating glass-panel railings.
Propulsion is via a hybrid drivetrain with twin MAN 175D engines and a twin 450kW PTO/PTI system, giving around 11 knots of cruising speed with a top speed of around 18 knots.
A 3MW Corvus battery pack supports peak-loadshaving, silent maneuvering and at-anchor quiet mode.
Two extendable fins and a set of fold-out Maglifts ensure optimal stabilisation.
A key exterior feature is the sunken main deck aft pool with a glass floor that provides natural light to the beach club below.
Floating feature staircase
The main deck also has an aft beach lounge connected to the pool deck and linked to the upper-deck lounge via a double-height atrium and floating feature staircase.
Six forward guest suites include four that can combine into two large VIP suites with adjoining sitting rooms.
Forward of the guest area, a full-beam tender garage houses two 10-metre tenders, a 6.2-metre crew boat, an MOB tender as well as additional toys, housed in a dedicated battery storage area for additional safety.
The upper deck is dedicated to guest amenities, with a spa complex with hairdressing, massage rooms, a wet spa and a relaxation lounge overlooking the bow’s spa pool and sunbeds.
This vision caters to the next generation of owners.

Above, the bridge deck holds the wheelhouse, captain’s cabin and ship’s office, while the aft section is reserved for the owner’s private suite.
The lower deck houses a watersports and dive centre, a gym and crew/service zones for up to 32 crew.
“The intent was to create a design that feels clean, timeless and highly functional, while offering dramatic interior volumes and interconnected spaces,” said Andreas Iseli who heads Swisship Yacht Projects.
“The seamless flow from the beach club up to the double-height lounge, combined with advanced hybrid propulsion, reflects how we believe future large yachts will be experienced.”
Kristian Pascol of Pascoli International concluded: “This vision caters to the next generation of owners who seek not only exquisite design, but also an unparalleled connection to the sea, ensuring that the experience is as unforgettable as the vessel itself.”
