Sunreef unveils largest catamaran to date

Sunreef Yachts has revealed its most ambitious project to date: its 65M Sunreef Explorer.

The 65-metre superyacht has a volume of 1,800GT, making the flagship concept the largest luxury catamaran designed, offering comfort, long-range efficiency, and ‘explorer-level’ autonomy.

Sunreef has translated the DNA of its smaller superyachts onto a much larger scale for the new model which has large reverse bows, extensive darkened glass, and simple elegant curves.

The 65M Explorer has been designed for both adventure and indulgence and features seven double guest cabins, two pools, indoor and outdoor lounges, and a beach club with fold-down platforms, gym, and toy storage.

Accommodation is provided for 22 crew.

The owner’s suite is on the upper deck, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a private foredeck lounge, a two-person bathtub, separate his and hers bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, and an office.

There are also two VIP suites and four additional guest cabins.

Social spaces include formal and informal dining areas, panoramic lounges, a moon-shaped bar on the bridge deck, sun terraces, a 6m aft pool and Jacuzzi deck.

At the aft beach club, steps lead down from the pool area to the yacht’s skirts, which can be combined to create a waterside gallery when the platform is lowered.

There is room for a 7m tender and multiple jetskis, or the space can be transformed into a beach club with deck furniture and a parasol.

The 65M Explorer will have a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 18 knots.

A retractable A-frame crane enables easy handling of large tenders, submersibles, or a 45ft chase boat.
