Palumbo Superyachts has acquired the concession of a 13,048.98sqm state-owned maritime area in Italy’s Port of Ortona.
The facility will be be used to further develop the company’s ISA Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Extra Yachts and Mondomarine brands.
The area has direct access to the sea and is equipped with a slipway and will enable Palumbo to expanding the production and logistics capacity of its Superyachts Division.
The site was chosen due to the fact that it is an existing commercial port with experience in in metal carpentry and a steel processing supply chain, all of which integrates with Palumbo Superyachts’ expertise in the construction of large metal yachts.
Ortona represents a strategic step in Palumbo Superyachts’ growth path.

The acquisition of the Ortona area will enable Palumbo Superyachts to expand in the new-build segment from 30 to 100 metres, in which the company has a €1 billion order backlog and 24 superyachts currently under construction across its shipyards.

The new facility will support the construction, outfitting, and logistics of large yachts, integrating with the company’s international network.
