Heesen Yachts changes boat show strategy

Heesen Yachts has announced it is changing its boat show strategy and will not have its own stands at the Monaco Yacht Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025.

The decision follows on from the acquisition of of Heesen by Dutch entrepreneur and investor Laurens Last and confirms the boatbuilder’s evolved product-focus and perceived quality through a direct onboard experience.

Heesen says international boat shows will continue to be key events.

In the past, Heesen Yachts has typically taken a prominent presence on land at major boat shows to introduce new models to the market. Instead, the shipyard will now highlight its yachts in the marina.

“Heesen will continue to be present at the events, but not with stands or hospitality areas. The focus will be on the boats, exhibited directly on the dock to offer a more immersive experience,” said Heesen in a statement.

“Heesen Yachts deeply respects the significance of these shows and the unique opportunities they present.

“Heesen Yachts is committed to showcasing its latest innovations  and breathtaking designs within these iconic settings. The shipyard will  proudly have its yachts on display, in the best possible positions, ensuring they are the centre of attention.”

Heesen says it will show its 55-metre Solemates among other yachts at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.

Built on Heesen’s 55m Steel platform, Solemates features a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and exterior styling by Omega Architects.

The yacht has a 760 GT volume and steel hull and has been designed for comfortable and extended cruising.

The shipyard has expressed its appreciation to the boat show organisers.
