RAD has partnered with Finnish based Valkama, fitting its RAD 40 drives to the boatbuilder’s electric hydrodynamic boats.
There are plans several models within Valkama’s 5m range including the Picnic cruiser.
The craft is a hydrodynamic boat offering high-speed, long-range electric boating.
With electricity onboard it is equipped with yacht-like features such as a refrigerator, ceramic grill and sound system.
The craft is compact and designed so that the motor doesn’t intrude onto the vessel’s deck space. The outboard remains behind the transom when tilted up.
The motor offers drive-by-wire controls and 180 degrees of steering, with minimal maintenance required and no requirement for external steering gear and connections.
Sustainable ethos

All electric boats produce no emissions. This combined with our RAD 40 drive equals guaranteed sustainable boating.”
