Furuno has released the CSH10, a 360-degree full-circle omni scanning sonar designed for serious sportfishing enthusiasts.
The CSH10 is an 83.5 kHz high-frequency sonar with a sharp beam width, suitable for detecting schools of fish or individual pelagics near the surface and improving long-range detection.
The full-circle scanning system allows underwater conditions in all directions around the vessel to be captured.
The sonar is compatible with NavNet TZtouchXL allowing users to view and control range, gain, tilt, and event history of the CSH10 sonar directly from a TZtouchXL MFD.
Other features include sonar chart overlay for tracking of game fish as they work contour lines.
360-degree scanning
The real-time, full-circle detection allows 360-degree scanning around a boat, and beam stabilisation technology ensures clear and stable images in rough water.
In addition, a target lock and fish quantity mark allows users to lock onto fast-moving schools or fixed targets with the target lock function.
And the fish quantity mark calculates the size, distance, and depth of the school.
The CSH10 sonar features a colour palette from 16 to 32 colours and with clearer resolution than previous models, making it easier to distinguish between fish and underwater terrain.
Detection ranges extend up to 900 meters.
The new control unit is compact and designed with user-friendly features including the RotoKey and trackball for smoother, responsive operation.
A wireless remote control allows users to adjust settings from anywhere on the boat.
Marine camera
Furuno also recently introduced its FIP-460 marine camera for NavNet TZtouchXL, for adding high-quality video to an MFD.
The camera has a resolution of up to 3MP (2304 x 1296) and a mechanical IR cut-out filter enables day and night operation.
The camera is installed via a fully rotatable inner camera ball and various flexible mounting options.
It can be integrated with TZtouchXL MFDs, TimeZero software v4.1 and above, and other ONVIF-compliant devices.
