Sessa Marine appoints new chief commercial officer

Italian shipyard Sessa Marine, has appointed Roberto Tummolo as chief commercial officer, with immediate effect.

Tummolo’s appointment is aimed at enhancing Sessa Marine’s positioning in established markets while also developing international opportunities.

Tummolo’s career began in the luxury goods sector before he transferred to the marine industry where he has worked for more than 20 years.

For the past five years, he has served as sales and dealer network coordinator for SAIM‘s Marine Business Unit.

In his role as commercial director, Tummolo will be responsible for coordinating commercial activities and relations with the distribution network, as well as liaising between the sales department, technical offices, purchasing, and design, with the aim of ensuring consistency between product, market, and brand positioning.

The goal is to continue strengthening Sessa Marine’s presence on the market.

“The goal is to continue strengthening Sessa Marine’s presence on the market, enhancing a range of products capable of interpreting the needs of the contemporary owner, while fully respecting the brand’s identity and Italian tradition,” he said.

Tummolo will work alongside Francesco Parietti, area manager Italy, and Luana Belotti, who is in charge of sales and support for the Italian and international markets.

His appointment takes place as Sessa Marine prepares to launch the latest model in its Key Largo line, the Key Largo 25.

“Over 30 years, Sessa Marine has produced approximately 20,000 boats, including over 8,000 from the Key Largo range,” explained Parietti.

“These numbers demonstrate the industrial and commercial value of a line that has played a key role in the brand’s global success.”

Redesigned layout, livability, and functional solutions

The Key Largo 25 retains the distinctive features of the line, while introducing an updated technical and stylistic approach.

The craft will be built using vacuum construction technology for weight reduction, improved performance and greater structural efficiency.

“The project will remain immediately recognisable as a Key Largo, but with a redesigned layout, livability, and functional solutions,” explained Belotti.

The new model will be officially presented during the summer boat shows.

The new Key Largo has been designed by Daniele Mazzon, founder of Studio M, who has also worked in the Pininfarina Nautical Division and in major international marine projects.
