Sebastiano Fanizza, CEO of the Italian Next Yacht Group, is reported to have left the company.
Next Yacht, the Viareggio-based group headed by Stefano Nesti and operating under the Maiora and AB Yacht brands, appointed Sebastiano as its CEO with effect from April 2 2025.
He joined the company following a multi-year career in the luxury yachting industry, having held leadership roles at some of the world’s most well-known companies including Azimut Yachts, Nautor Swan, and Benetti Yachts.
At the time he was quoted as saying: “Taking the helm at Next Yacht Group is more than just a new chapter in my career; it’s a chance to shape the future of a company with extraordinary potential.
Continue to push boundaries
“I’m excited to work alongside a great team to bring new energy to two extraordinary brands like MAIORA and AB Yachts.
“Together, we will continue to push boundaries, blending Italian craftsmanship with smart innovation to offer our clients something that truly reflects their vision of life at sea, and from that experience, we are already imagining a new way of living onboard, beyond today’s conventions.”
A report by the Italian publication Lastampa, states that there was no shared vision between the manager and the owners/board of directors, which led to Sebastiano’s departure.
So far, Next Yacht Group has not announced any new leadership positions. Sebastiano’s LinkedIn profile still states that he is CEO of Next Yacht Group.
