New Propspeed vice president

Propspeed has appointed Jim Bandy as its vice president of sales and operations for the Americas.

In his new role, Jim will lead the Propspeed sales team across the Americas to further expand the company’s footprint, support long standing distribution partners to grow, and increase market share in the commercial marine industry.

Jim joins Propspeed with more than 30 years of marine industry experience, most recently as the director of business development for New Zealand-based McKay.

Prior to McKay, he spent four years with Raymarine/FLIR, three years at Navico and 20 years as the sales representative and territory manager for West Marine.

Propspeed’s product lineup includes Propspeed for running gear and any underwater metals, Foulfree for transducers and Lightspeed for underwater lighting.

The latest addition to the product range is Stripspeed, a solvent-based paint stripper for underwater metals.
