Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions is entering a new phase in its history with a series of management changes.
As part of a planned transition, founder and long-serving managing director Barry Fower is passing the baton to his son, Chris Fower, who becomes the new managing director effective from January 2026.
Barry takes on the new role of chief executive officer.
Since founding the company in 1994, Barry has grown the business through word-of-mouth, establishing a reputation for technical expertise and customer service.
The business has grown staedily over the years, with the headcount currently more than 20.
In his new role Barry will continue to provide guidance across all all segments of the business, while remaining the driving force behind specialist projects and defence applications.
These changes represent an exciting new chapter for Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions
Barry Fower
Chris joined the business in 2014 in a business development role.
Drawing on his prior experience and familiarity with the company, he soon established himself in the role and proactively pursued ways to drive growth. He has recently been serving as sales and marketing director.
Among his achievements, Chris led the implementation of the company’s current CRM system, developed various marketing channels, including the launch of a new company website, and strengthened customer relationships across marine and specialist vehicle sectors.
Chris has also been instrumental in structuring the company’s commercial, sales, and management systems, enabling growth and the recruitment of additional team members.
Internal promotions
“These changes represent an exciting new chapter for Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions,” said Barry Fower.
“As a family-run business, our focus has always been on reliability and quality.
“I am confident that Chris will uphold our legacy, ensuring customers continue to receive dependable onboard solutions backed by our in-house engineering expertise.”
The restructure of the senior management team and the retirement of technical sales and business development director David Payne, has also prompted two internal promotions.
Louise Sims has been promoted to the position of commercial director.
Sub-niche markets
Previously the commercial manager, Louise will be responsible for the commercial side of the business.
In parallel, Ian Saunders has been promoted to sales director, having led the specialist vehicle sales division for the past four years.
“I am proud to recognise the exceptional talent within our team, who play a vital role in driving our growth,” said Chris Fower.
“As we evolve, it’s important we remain grounded in our engineering expertise and dedication to customer care, while embracing opportunities in emerging sub-niche markets and environmentally conscious solutions.”
Looking forward, the company aims to continue to expand into sub-niche markets in the marine sector and specialist vehicle industry.
