New interim Sunseeker CEO appointed

Andrea Frabetti has stepped down from his role as chief executive officer and as board director from Sunseeker International with immediate effect.

His departure from the UK boatuilder is said to be by mutual agreement.

Sunseeker will now undertake a comprehensive formal search process; while this takes place, Scott Millar of Teneo Financial Advisory has been appointed as interim chief executive officer, effective week commencing 8 December 2025.

Andrea has led Sunseeker as chief executive officer since July 2019, having joined the business the year before as chief technical officer.

Since then, Sunseeker says he has made a significant contribution to the business, having overseen a number of strategic changes, including significant investments in research and development, production advancements, and new product launches.

Following the recent new financing to strengthen Sunseeker’s financial position and support ongoing operations, now is the right time for me to step down.

Scott Millar joins Sunseeker from Teneo Financial Advisory where he is senior managing director and head of the global corporate transformation practice.

Scott has more than 27 years of experience advising and leading luxury brands, including in the automotive and yacht sectors, at both listed and private companies across Europe, the US, and the UK.

“It has been an honour to lead at Sunseeker International during what has been a pivotal time for the business and the wider sector,” said Andrea.

“Following the recent new financing to strengthen Sunseeker’s financial position and support ongoing operations, now is the right time for me to step down.

Fresh capital investment

“I leave the business in safe hands and look forward to seeing its continued success.”

Scott added: “I would like to thank Andrea for his commitment and dedication to Sunseeker and his personal support to me in taking on interim leadership of the business.

“Sunseeker maintains a strong position in its market thanks to an outstanding team of people and a supply chain focused on building and delivering world class yachts for our customers.

“It is a privilege to lead the business whilst a permanent CEO is found.”

Sunseeker recently secured fresh capital investment from its lenders, Cheyne Capital and Cross Ocean Partners.

The company announced a proposed reorganisational restructure earlier in 2025.
