Sargo Boats has appointed Matti Laurila as its new CEO with effect from January 2026.
Laurila will take the helm of the Finnish boatbuilder having previously been CEO of several companies encompassing a range of industries. He has also served as chairman of Sargo’s board for the past two years.
Current CEO Thomas Sarin, who joined Sargo in 1997 and has served as in the role for the last 15 years, will continue to work for the family-owned boatbuilder, focusing on product development, customer relations and sales.
He will also take over as chairman of the Finnish boatbuilder’s board.
“Laurila has served as the chairman of the board for the past two years and knows both the company and us well,” said Sarin.
Even though we aren’t family, we share the same values, which is very important.
