Andrea Antichi has been appointed as general manager for the Azimut division by Azimut|Benetti Group.
Andrea officially assumed the role on May 12 2025, reporting directly to CEO Marco Valle.
He will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of the division and achieving objectives both economic and industrial with his first priority being the consolidation of the footprint of the production sites, which are currently at the centre of a transformation and enhancement plan.
Andrea trained as a mechanical engineer and has worked with leading industrial companies over the years.
He joined Ferrari in 2006 where he held manufacturing roles of increasing responsibility until he was appointed chief manufacturing officer, a position he held until joining the Azimut|Benetti Group.
Andrea’s appointment is an important part of the current phase of evolution of the Azimut division.
Marco Valle
Previously, he gained experience in the technical field at Piaggio and was active in the research field at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institutes, where he worked on computational biomechanics.
Andrea’s appointment is part of Azimut|Benetti’s reorganisation and evolution, aimed at integrating the best skills in the nautical sector with high-level managerial profiles from other industrial fields.

Improvement path
“The transformation of the Avigliana facility, now capable of producing boats up to 26 meters, is a testament to this improvement path.”
He added: “Bringing both experience and managerial vision, Andrea will make a decisive contribution in guiding a new phase of growth, in making production processes even more efficient and in continuing to raise our quality standards.”
Andrea added: “After 19 years at Ferrari, a symbol of Italian automotive excellence in the world, I have chosen to come aboard the excellence of the yachting sector.”
Andrea succeeds Daniele Romiti who has been general manager since 2022 and has led development and enhancement projects for Azimut’s production sites.
In particular, Daniele has worked on implementing initiatives aimed at improving the sustainability of industrial processes, such as the introduction of energy self-generation systems and practices to help establish a circular economy.
