Outer Reef Yachts has merged with the Dutch shipyard Lynx Yachts, aimed at strengthening the Fort Lauderdale based shipyard’s presence in both Europe and global cruising grounds.

The merger will enable the Outer Reef yard, known for its long-range motor yachts, to expand its product line enabling the company to design and produce new yachts to cater for the increasing demand for adventure yachting across worldwide cruising grounds.

It follows a year-long evaluation of European shipyard options by the American yard’s executive team to assess their procedures and methodologies.

The process included on-site visits to yards across Europe, including Turkish and Dutch facilities, with Lynx and its Dutch build process standing out.

This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to innovation and quality.

Outer Reef will benefit from the expertise of Lynx’s build management team, whose experience in the Dutch superyacht industry will be key to advancing Outer Reef’s growth objectives.

“Expanding our presence in the Netherlands and integrating the highly regarded Lynx Yachts management team into our operations marks a significant milestone for Outer Reef Yachts,” said Jeff Druek, Outer Reef Yachts CEO.

“This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to innovation and quality, enabling us to meet the growing demand for adventure yachting across Europe, the United States, Australia, and beyond.”

Under the new alliance, the shipyard will operate as Outer Reef Yachts – Netherlands.

The first yacht, currently under construction at this facility, will be the Outer Reef Yachts Adventure 780, planned for launch in February 2025.

The vessel will be the first of a new range of models from 24 to 43 meters.
