Thames Ditton Marina in Surrey has been put up for sale for offers over £8 million.
It’s the first time the marina – on the non-tidal River Thames, near Thames Ditton in Surrey – has been on the market in almost 20 years.
The marina was created in 1957 by converting two former water treatment basins into the first purpose-built marina on the non-tidal Thames.
The site covers an area of around 4.5 acres plus around 327m of outside main river moorings.
Over the following years various commercial units have been built along with a boatshed and slipway.
The marina can accommodate up to 108 craft with marina basins with moorings for around 90 boats and riverside moorings which are used for residential purposes.
Other facilities include a licensed restaurant on site the ‘Hideaway’, car parking on site as well as cycle repairs and sales. The marina also offers residential boat sales.
The present owner bought the site on a 125-year lease in 2005 from Thames Water and purchased the full commercial freehold in 2007.
The marina is operated under TDM Marine Ltd, which was registered in 2005.
