Northern Marine has launched a new refit division dedicated to servicing Northern Marine vessels and similar yachts from its Pacific Northwest shipyard headquarters.
The expansion is set to enhance the boatbuilder’s capabilities to provide care for its own fleet and extend its experience to other yacht owners in the 50 – 80ft size category.
The expansion will apply Northern Marine’s experience in yacht construction and design to comprehensive refits.
“If boaters generally like their yacht but wish it had updated systems or a modernised interior, a refit performed by Northern Marine will achieve that,” explained Peter Whiting, managing partner of Seattle Yachts, parent company of Northern Marine.
“Working with state-of-the-art technologies and modern interior design concepts, Northern Marine is the perfect partner to rejuvenate their yacht, improving its performance, comfort, and aesthetics for years to come.”
Structural repairs and modifications
Refit services offered by the new division will include structural repairs and modifications, systems upgrades and replacements, interior and exterior refurbishments and performance enhancements.
Northern Marine’s refit division will operate from the company’s shipyard in Anacortes, Washington.
“We want to give the customers of Northern Marine a home to come back to,” said Linn Jennings, director of manufacturing for Seattle Yachts. “We’re the people that built their boat, and we have the facilities that can accommodate boats of that size and beyond.
“Our Anacortes location allows us to seamlessly integrate services from trusted local providers, complementing our in-house capabilities to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Northern Marine is known for its long-range cruising and expedition yachts, specialising in custom designs.
