A new French boat show will take place in October 2024, following on from the Paris Boat Show.
In December 2022, organisers of the Paris Nautic Show, the Federation of Nautical Industries (FIN) announced a consultation would be held regarding the show’s model and its sustainability credentials.
The consultation was due to cover a range of topics including the show’s identity, assets, weaknesses and opportunities.
Now, the FIN has announced that a new show, the Nautic en Seine will take place from October 15 to 20 2024.
Along with a new name and new dates, FIN promises the show will have a new location, new format and new dynamics.
“A true introspection, this work made it possible to make a diagnosis and share avenues for the future, with players in the French nautical sector coming from all professional backgrounds; equipment manufacturers, engine manufacturers, builders, services, maritime and river rental companies, board sports, dinghy sailing, territories,” explained Fabrice Lacoume, vice-president of the FIN in charge of boat shows.
Major boat shows
“It was therefore collectively that the decision was taken to maintain a show; an event which allows the French nautical industry to reach a large and qualified number of participants who are never seen at other major boat shows.”
Fabrice added: “With a strong national influence, the Paris Salon is the showcase of French and European know-how. Investing in these new sites, combined with active collaboration with elected officials from Hauts-de-Seine, will help us increase our attractiveness both nationally and internationally.”
The new site will be the recently renovated Port Legrand in Boulogne-Billancourt which will be able to accommodate up to 150 boats afloat, around 30 of which will be available for boat test.
There will be space for 80 boats on land, and 8,500m² of exhibition space on land.
The FIN is anticipating there will be around 4,000 professionals attending.
