VoltSafe has been awarded a foundational patent from the European Patent Office (EPO) for the company’s flagship prongless power connector technology.
The foundational patent is granted under the European Patent Convention and extends VoltSafe’s IP protection into 39 European countries.
The patent award follows on from prior IP wins in the United States, Canada, China, and other global jurisdictions, protecting VoltSafe’s next-generation technology.
The patent also opens the door to strategic licensing deals with industrial, marine, defence, and consumer electronics players.

VoltSafe says that Europe represents a massive opportunity for its products due to the continent’s strong focus on electrification, clean-tech adoption, and smart infrastructure which aligns with its technology.
“With recent EU Green Deal initiatives and growing investment in marine electrification, the European market isn’t just large, it’s ready for innovation,” added a VoltSafe spokesperson.

In addition to the patent award, VoltSafe has also closed an equity crowdfunding campaign. The capital raised will support critical R&D projects, commercialisation of VoltSafe Marine, and support the development of new licensing partnerships.
VoltSafe has developed a prongless magnetic plug for high power and has a product pipeline that includes magnetic plug replacement solutions for a variety of industries.
