Voltaic Marine appoints manufacturing partner

Detroit Manufacturing Systems and its advanced manufacturing arm, Kinetyc, have expanded into the electric marine sector having been appointed as an official contract manufacturing partner for Voltaic Marine, producer of electric powered boats in Beaverton, Oregon.

A team from Kinetyc, based in Wixom, Michigan, and Voltaic Marine have completed a production model with full-scale commercial production scheduled for 2026.

Voltaic Marine was founded in 2023 with two models announced so far – the AEW24 and AEP26 Pontoon.

The 24ft AEW24 is equipped with a 570hp motor and a 300kWh battery and has been designed for a full-day runtime.

The aluminium wake boat has an 18-person capacity.

The AEP26, a luxury 26ft pontoon craft, debuted at CES 2025.
