Vision Marine signs muti-year marina lease

Vision Marine Technologies has agreed a commercial lease and purchase option agreement under its Nautical Ventures division for Anglers Avenue Marine Center.

The agreement and lease provide Vision Marine with the ability to acquire the property in the future through a contractual purchase option and includes a right of first refusal should a third-party offer arise.

The site, in Dania Beach, Florida, has historically been used to support Nautical Ventures’ boat sales.

The agreement secures a strategic waterfront asset in Fort Lauderdale for Vision Marine which aims to expand the marina in phases from 109 active slips to a combined wet-and-dry-slip capacity for around 300 vessels.

The marina generated approximately US$3.2 million in 2024 through limited storage and service activity and based on Vision Marine’s projections, the expansion will support multi-million-dollar recurring storage revenue annually.

Securing a multi-year lease and purchase option for the marina is a pivotal step toward building a truly vertically integrated marine dealership business.

In addition, Vision Marine plans to expand its dealership-level service operations with a service and parts centre providing maintenance and repairs.

The company says the site’s 10-acre footprint will support significant operational consolidation and improve efficiency across service, rigging, parts, storage, logistics, and customer demonstrations.

The company envisions the marina serving as a regional hub for E-Motion electric-boat integrations, which typically account for 3% to 5% of Nautical Ventures’ annual sales, with an on-water showroom.

Vertically integrated marine dealership

The facility is part of Vision Marine’s strategy of combining its high-voltage electric propulsion platform with a retail and service infrastructure.

“Securing a multi-year lease and purchase option for the marina is a pivotal step toward building a truly vertically integrated marine dealership business with expanded services,” explained Alexandre Mongeon, co-founder and CEO of Vision Marine.

“By elevating our service capacity at this prime location, we will be able to offer customers a more modern, automotive-style retail and service experience.”
