Dutch trailer manufacturer Vanclaes Boat Trailers has launched a UK-based assembly plant to build on its existing UK market.
Following the launch of the new assembly plant, Vanclaes UK will launch its new Vanclaes UK Spec Trailer, built specifically for the British market at Southampton International Boat Show 2025.
Features of the new trailer include: –
– Four interchangeable boat support systems:
• Keel and Kim support
• Carpeted bunks
• Wave multi-roller system
• GYRO adjustable roller bed
– Progressive coil spring suspension: now standard on all braked trailers
– Waterproof oil-filled hubs: standard on all unbraked trailers
– Integrated waterproof LED lighting: no removable lightboards required
– Full European type approval: ideal for cross-border towing or export
– Corrosion-proof stainless-steel construction
“Quality no longer comes at a premium. As well as creating jobs for British people, our UK-based customers finally gain full access to stainless steel trailers with proven quality and reliability at matched UK market prices,” said Stian Duijvelaar, managing director and chief product developer.
“We’re actively growing our UK dealer network and looking forward to new collaborations over the coming months.”
The company points out that due to Brexit-related import challenges, currency fluctuation, and high shipping costs, Vanclaes trailers have been historically more expensive in the UK than in mainland Europe.
The change in manufacturing location is set to change this, eliminating import tariffs.
