Teakdecking Systems (TDS) has bought its European distribution in-house, effective immediately.
The move applies to all the company’s maintenance products across Europe.
The company says the move strengthens its ability to support its European clients with faster service, greater product availability, and direct access to the company’s expertise.
The transition marks the end of the company’s use of a single European master distributor model.
The company will now appoint a network of regional distributors across Europe, aimed at providing a more localised service and stronger support.
Strong network
“This change reflects our commitment to being closer to our customers and delivering the highest standard of service across Europe,” said Richard Strauss, CEO of Teakdecking Systems.
“By managing distribution directly and building a strong network of regional partners, we can better meet the needs of boatbuilders, refit yards, and marine professionals.”
TDS’s European operation will directly provide proprietary caulking, ECO cleaners, epoxies, sealers and professional tools.
Teakdecking Systems was founded in 1983.
The employee-owned company has facilities in Florida and Spain, and provides decking, repair, and maintenance products including caulk, epoxy, cleaners, and adhesives available through national and global distributors.
