Sunseeker International is to transition around 100 workers from night to day shifts.
The transition is scheduled to take place in 2026 with some workers claiming they will loose hundreds of pounds a month in pay as a result.
It is understood Sunseeker has reasurred workers regarding job security concerns.
Sunseeker says the changes are being made to improve the company’s efficiency and ensure the luxury boatbuilder can continue to deliver boats and orders to customers.
“With a busy order book for 2026 and beyond, Sunseeker has been working to review our production operating model and improve efficiency,” said Sunseeker in a statement.
Improve efficiency
“We advised our team [on November 24] of a planned change to a shift pattern to help improve efficiency and adapt our production schedule to ensure our team can continue to deliver our yacht orders for our customers.”
The statement continued: “The change in shift pattern will take place in three months’ time, commencing from March 2026, and affects approximately 100 employees.
“We are currently working with employees to understand their needs ahead of implementing the change.”
Sunseeker added: “This change is part of our ongoing efforts to structure our team effectively, ensuring we retain a highly skilled and experienced production team who love what they do.
Strategy for growth
“We remain confident about the future and committed to our strategy for growth in 2026 and beyond.”
Earlier in November, Sunseeker denied reports its chief executive officer has left the company stating Andrea Frabettis is on a pre-arranged period of leave and it remained focused on fulfilling its global order book.
The boatbuilder announced a proposed reorganisational restructure in June 2025 which included a consultation process affecting up to 200 roles – around 10% of its workforce.
