Sunreef partners with Ocean Independence Auckland

Sunreef Yachts is partnering with Ocean Independence Auckland to strengthen the shipyard’s presence in New Zealand’s yachting market.

Ocean Independence Auckland will now represent Sunreef Yachts in New Zealand, offering access to Sunreef’s full range of customisable multihulls.

“With Ocean Independence, we gain a strong presence in New Zealand,” explained Francis Lapp founder and president.

“We have an excellent ongoing collaboration and are pleased to strengthen it further by working together in this important market.”

Ocean Independence’s team has experience with Sunreef catamarans, including the sale and management of Sunreef 43 Eco and managing vessels such as the Sunreef 70’ GINETTE across different continents.

In addition, the team represents Sunreef yachts for charter in the South Pacific.

Power and sail catamarans

The announcement follows on from the expansion of Sunreef NEXT across its range of power and sail catamarans.

Sunreef describes NEXT as ‘a boost of innovation, luxury and style’.

NEXT was initially premiered with an evolved design of the Sunreef 80 sail catamaran, bringing additional space and flexibility to the flybridge, bow terrace and aft cockpit.

The project incorporates the latest green technology with next-generation batteries delivering longer lifespan and enhanced performance.

In-house developed Solar Skin 3.0 technology has been inspired from the Sunreef superyacht range. It features AI-enhanced efficiency and durability for cleaner, smarter energy use.

NEXT also uses teak-free decking, instead using materials from sustainable sources.
