Spanish boatyard to make US debut

Spanish based Maxim Yachts is to make its US debut at the forthcoming Miami International Boat Show after signing an agreement with Legacy Marine to distribute the full range of Maxim day cruisers in Florida from February 2025.

The Max 44 R, a day cruiser capable of more than 50 knots using three 400hp Mercury Verado V10 outboard engines, will have its world premier at the show,” said Marc Forné, sales manager at Maxim Yachts.

“I am convinced that Max 44 R is an ideal model for the North American market, thanks to its performance and spacious, convertible areas—perfect for both leisure and relaxation.

“Legacy Marine is the perfect partner to introduce us to a region particularly receptive to this type of boat, and I am proud of this partnership.”

The new 44ft model was developed through a collaboration between Alex Cherigny, who designed the exterior, and Isonaval Studio, which handled the engineering.

Flexible space

Features of the cruiser include a central deck area designed as a flexible space, furnished with two foldable tables for ten people, four sofas, one of which includes two portable fridges.

The helm station features a four-seat carbon fibre steering console, in addition to the pilot’s seat and is equipped with two 16in Garmin screens and 11 analog indicators.

The carbon fibre hardtop is integrated with a JL audio system, which includes two speakers on the hardtop and six more fitted around the boat.

The galley includes a stovetop, sink, and two large refrigerators, with the option to install up to four refrigerators and an ice maker. elow deck, there are two double cabins, one of which can be converted into a relaxation area.

Sunbathing areas are incorporated in the both the bow and stern.
