Sharrow Engineering builds manufacturing network

Sharrow Engineering is to build a nationwide 5-axis CNC manufacturing network to support its expanding operations.

The network is set to support Sharrow Engineering across both its recreational division, Sharrow Marine, and its new affiliate, Sharrow Labs.

The Detroit based company, which manufactures the Sharrow Propeller, says the initiative represents a strategic evolution in US-based manufacturing, designed to scale production efficiently by tapping into the strength and capabilities of the existing domestic industrial base.

“We’re proud to be expanding our footprint in Detroit while also building a national manufacturing backbone that supports American jobs,” said Greg Sharrow, founder and CEO of Sharrow Engineering.

Production network

“By creating a flexible and scalable production network, we can meet the demand for Sharrow Propellers today, and support the manufacturing of future technologies coming out of Sharrow Labs tomorrow.”

Sharrow Engineering’s new manufacturing network will support different company divisions, including Sharrow Marine, which specialises in recreational and commercial marine applications, and Sharrow Labs, the company’s newly launched innovation affiliate focused on developing breakthrough technologies in mobility, energy, and transportation.

The company is also relocating its headquarters to Michigan Central, Detroit.

Sharrow Engineering will coordinate R&D, IP management, and advanced manufacturing efforts across its business units from its new base.
