Petzold’s Marine Centre has acquired Connecticut based Port Clinton Marina.
The acquisition coincides with Petzold’s 80th anniversary and strengthens Petzold’s shoreline presence.
Founded in 1945 by Bill and Agnes Petzold, Petzold’s Marine Center is now a fourth generation, family-owned organisation,
Along with its flagship sales and service facility in Portland, Connecticut, it also operates sales locations in Norwalk, CT and Warwick, Rhode Island.
In 2020, the family expanded its operations with the purchase of Chester Boat Basin, a marina on the Connecticut River.
Increased access to boaters
The newly acquired Port Clinton Marina, is located to provide increased access to customers and boaters along the Long Island Sound.
The expansion allows for the addition of dock space, maintenance services, winter storage and shrink wrap.
“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 80 years in business by expanding to the shoreline community of Clinton,” said Heather Petzold-Bell, fourth-generation family owner.
“Port Clinton Marina is a natural fit for our family — boater-focused, welcoming, and full of potential.
“We look forward to building upon its strong foundation and serving the shoreline; boating community with the same care and commitment that’s defined us for eight decades.”
